ESEF (European Single Electronic Format)
In accordance with EU regulations, issuers in regulated markets are required to publish their annual financial reports in the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF).
ESEF (European Single Electronic Format) is a standardized reporting format that ensures transparent, comparable, and machine-readable publication of financial reports within the European Union through specialized software solutions that use the XBRL standard (eXtensible Business Reporting Language).
Each ESEF package (ZIP) contains:
- An XHTML report (reports folder) that can be viewed through web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
- XSD/XML files with the structure and taxonomy rules that enable the machine processing of the reports using applications specialized for financial report analysis.
